More About Mor

Miamor is a draftblog, a playground, a sandbox, a collage board; a set of sketchpads and notebooks and easels with infinite pages and canvases; a way to share, to write, to speak, to play. It is a collection of the prose and poetry, written by others, Mia treasures most. It is a repository for Mia’s thoughts and ideas given form through words and colors, lines and sound. It is an excuse for expression. It is inspiration and motivation.

More than anything, though, it is a labor of love.

Miamor — Mia mor — Mi amor.

About Mia

miiya.jpgMia is a twenty-something student who confuses people by inadvertently eluding classification, even when it comes to her academics. She has taken up subjects ranging from quantum mechanics and special relativity to game theory and history of economic thought — and enjoyed herself immensely all throughout. For some strange reason she likes dabbling in assorted fields; not that she can’t make up her mind, but there are just so many things that fascinate her.

She spends her time dreaming, even when she is awake. In between the coming and going of the trains of thought that occupy her brain, she plays PC games; messes around with Felinity, her laptop; mangles images and drawings; scribbles senseless words; and, occasionally, sings. Sometimes when she has time and gold– er, cash — she also goes shopping, but if you confront her about how much of a girly girl she is she will flatly deny all accusations.

Mia can, in the end, be described by her loves: God, Jake, her family, her cats, physics, literature, art, and music. With a few additions depending on her current gaming obsession and favorite chocolate-type confection.
